Back to Polegate

I've been at home all week as its been my week off, enjoying the glorious sunshine. So today Hugh and I went down to the Polegate boot fair. It was so busy there wasn't a space left to sell every bit of the field was taken. We went a bit later today and turned up about 10am but still found some treasures. Below are the photos from today's boot fair in Polegate.

Yes I was buying too!

I always find time to have a quick sneaky look around the boot fair while I'm selling and managed to pick some treasures.

Flowery printed skirt £2
Grey knitted cardigan £2
Denim short shorts £2
Orange kaftan £1.50 (bargain!)

Hugh's Treasures:

Avengers comic £1
White (nearly new) Converse £10

Also brought the amazing black heels with gold studs (below) for £5 for my little sis!

We found all these treasures nearer the end of the day around 3pm when other sellers tend to bring their prices down.

And the winner is...

Of course it was Mark, he was selling his vintage Polaroid cameras and Polaroid film which he could sell for a decent price and had lots of interest through out the day. He made a grand total of £200 and I made £70!

Sell Sell Sell

Yesterday we sold at Battersea Boot fair, me, Mark, Hugh and Megan. Was such a great experience and would recommend it to everyone to sell your unwanted stuff there. It has such a great atmosphere and some real great characters too. It didn't rain and although the sun wasn't shining it was very busy! When we arrived at 11am to set up we only had half an hour to get everything out of the car as the first buyers were let in at 11.30 (and they are very keen) was all a bit daunting at first with people rushing to your stall shouting out questions about the prices. But once we got into the swing of the things was really great fun, especially bartering with the buyers. Below are the photos of our great day at Battersea boot. Look out for the next post to find out who made the most money :-)

Selling at Battersea

So tomorrow my brother and I are selling at the famous Battersea boot fair something I have wanted to do for years! Now it's not like selling at any other boot fair, it's highly organised and very busy! We have booked a pitch for 11am to be able to set up in peace and quiet before the buyers are allowed in. We are just hoping the weather will hold out so that more people will turn up to buy! Very excited! Look out for the photos to follow :-)

End the day with something sweet

Look at my cute little sister with her yummy crepe with a huge helping of Nutella that ended up extremely messy.

There's more...

Over the bridge down Lewes high street along the picturesque cobble street are hidden flea markets that from the outside look like tiny shops but once you step inside open up to big wonderful treasure chests. My favourite was Cliffe Antiques Centre and Lewes Antiques Centre well worth a visit if your ever in Lewes.

The famous Lewes Flea Market

This flea market is a huge warehouse of two floors of endless treasures! It's great for furniture, household bits and pieces and animals...stuffed animals.

Hulu Vintage

Around the back of Revive All was a small little vintage boutique called Hulu Vintage, selling amazing 1960s handbags, dresses, hats and vintage fur coats. It was like a big fancy dress box of great pieces from the 60's.
